Benefits of being involved in the Local Schools Local Heroes program:

Individuals will have the opportunity to work with their local school to foster the ongoing development of the school's organic garden

Individual schools and volunteer's achievements where possible will be promoted on the Local Schools Local Heroes Programs page, in school stories as well as via the e-newsletter

Volunteer requirements:

Volunteers’ must:

Provide only garden products which are approved for use in organic systems

Be able to supply products / services to schools which do not incur any cost on the part of the school

Volunteers (individuals from the community and business) must:

Be prepared to undergo a Working with Children check

Be committed to working in a school garden using organic gardening methods
