Ripe the Organic Grocer Local Schools

St Kilda Primary School has created a temporary veggie garden whilst their fabulous green area is in use by building works. Veggie crates and organic fill have provided the basis for St Kilda Primary School to provide lessons in plant identification, healthy soil, pest control, harvesting cooking and sharing food, and seed collection. 

We are incredibly excited to be part of the Organic Schools Program. We have a fantastic opportunity to involve our students in growing, harvesting and sharing fresh food, as well as address issues related to sustainable food production and healthy eating.  It is great to receive practical support in the form of lessons and be part of a larger Australia wide network of Organic School gardeners!
