Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School
Thank you to Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School in Middle Cove Sydney for sending in pictures of your school garden. The school began their organic/biodynamic garden three years ago and now all classes in 3-6 have weekly lessons in gardening and simple cooking activities and sometimes hold a canteen where the whole school makes soups and pizzas. Introducing gardening into the curriculum has provided opportunites for just about every subject, it has enriched our children's lives so much.
Shearwater the Mullumbimby Steiner School
Thank you to Shearwater for sending in pictures of your school garden. A little bit about the school... The school is situated in the Byron Bay hinterland 3.5km from Mullumbimby, NSW. Shearwater commenced in February 1993 in the home of Stan Stevens and Sally Davidson. Enrolements quickly exceeded the home capacity and the school moved into the current site in September 1993.
Check out the action at the first ever “BFA Junior Organic Cook-Off at MasterChef Live”. Senior primary school children, selectedfrom participating Organic School Gardens schools raced against the clock with the assistance of your favourite organic celebrity chefs.
