Australian Organic Schools Program

The Australian Organic Schools Program is an education program developed to teach children the knowledge and skills of growing healthy food and the benefits of organic for our health and the environment. The Program provides teachers with online resources to create, grow and care for their own organic school garden. Lessons include planning and design of a school garden, soil health, cropping, harvesting, cooking, and nutrition.

The health benefits of children eating organics are significant and an organic schools program can extend these health benefits even further. Children learn that food can be produced in a sustainable manner and eat food free from herbicides, insecticides and fungicides while restoring soils and increasing biodiversity.
